When I bought a used car that had a navigation system, I gave my Nuvi 265WT to my son. I quickly found that the auto company model was seriously outdated even in just three years. The cost just to update the maps was substantially more than the cost of a new GPS. So I purchased the Garmin 1350T. I did so because I was familiar with how easy it was to use a Garmin. This model is no exception. In the first few weeks I had it, I used it on a 2,400 mile trip. It was so easy to preprogram the addresses of the hotels and just click on the saved addresses as my destination each day. The traffic service helped me avoid a traffic snarl in Orlando and saved me 30 minutes of drive time. I especially like the lane indicator (not on the Nuvi 265WT) because there were several merges between highways that didn’t give much time for the system to tell me exactly where to go. The lane indicators kept up with the sudden changes and kept me from missing my turns. My favorite feature is the spoken street names. It is so much easiergetting that confirmation of a street name for a turn ahead of time and at the turn.
